Root canal treatment (endodontics)
Treating infection and damage of the dental pulp, to save the natural tooth and its function.
About the treatment
Inside every tooth is the pulp, the tissue with nerves and blood vessels. When the pulp becomes infected or damaged, through deep decay or an injury, root canal treatment cleans the tooth from the inside and seals it, so the tooth is not lost.
The treatment is done under local anaesthetic, to keep you as comfortable as possible.
